Description
As they left Scotland, anglicised their name, and forged a future deeply linked with the Royal Navy, the Purvises of Darsham found themselves hundreds of miles away from their Scottish roots. As the centuries passed, the records that connected them to their past grew fainter. Scribbled on the back of an 1851 Court of Southampton agenda, this rough note aimed to confirm the relationship between this Suffolk family with their baronet cousins.
